Location : In the countryside

Province : Tarn - Les montagnes de granite

  • English
    • The Lacaune Mountains extends the plateau and the mountains of Sidobre. They are part of the Haut-Languedoc Natural and Regional Park. Many hiking trails allow you to discover this forest environment, dotted with astonishing blocks of granite. These stone monsters, some weighing several hundred tons, have inspired many legends and customs. They sometimes offer you grandiose views of the surrounding mountains. The tourist offices will be able to guide you in your walks and tell you these traditional stories of the Tarn.

The Monts de Lacaune are also criss-crossed by charming streams. Fishermen will unearth interesting spots and small isolated corners to enjoy the calm of the surrounding nature. Crossing this country, you will see many picturesque villages, which have a very rich traditional heritage.
