  • English
    • The Cirque of Saint-Paul-des-Fonts is an impressive rocky bar, south of the Grands Causses Regional Natural Park. It frames and protects the village of the same name, which has settled below. But it is also a very important natural area, which benefits from a microclimate.

The Circus of Saint-Paul-des-Fonts is a high place of botany. It contains more than a hundred listed floral species! It was the famous "flower priest", Canon Hyppolyte Coste, who listed them. Thus, botanical trails around the village and an educational space have been set up to allow tourists to soak up all this knowledge. The place is also popular for its marked trails, which crisscross the surrounding area for nearly 430 kilometers.

During your visit to Saint-Paul-des-Fonts, don't miss its old washhouse which still has all of its structure of yesteryear, with the basin, the cooler, the drinking trough and the drying rack.
