The Lake Bancalié is an artificial water reservoir, in the heart of the Tarn, between Albi and Castres. It is a dam lake, which offers many leisure activities. A launch has been set up, where you can rent a canoe, a pedalo... A walk on the lake will also allow you to spot good spots to lay down a few lines. Indeed, the lake is a famous fishing spot for its predators and carp.
If swimming is not allowed, you can still take refreshing breaks by the water. A grassy beach is at your disposal for moments of relaxation or family picnics. A path circles the lake. It is a hike of about ten kilometers, without difficulty. You are not very far from the Arifat Waterfalls, which are also worth a detour.
