Nice, reasonably priced and clean hotel within close walking distance of the town centre. Very good value buffet breakfast. Excellent service and help from the staff on the reception desk. Dog friendly (accepted if under 20kg).

Rooms are dated but clean and they've just installed new climatisation which is quiet. Hot water was fine but the bathrooms are in a rather sad state. Probably closer to 2 rather than 3 star. However, there are 2 points to be aware of. The hotel has 6 parking spaces in total, one of which is normally taken by the manager, for 30-40 (?) rooms, which means that it's unlikely you'll be able to get a space. Given most guests will arrive by car you'd better expect to find alternative parking. Also, the parking is tiny and you may have difficulty getting out if it's full. Secondly, reception closes at 8:30 pm, which would be fine if it was just the desk, but it's the entire reception area which is closed off. So, after 8:30 there's no seating space and you'll have to go to your room. I'm used to the desk closing early but I've never stayed in a hotel where the entire downstairs is closed off.

Perhaps the hotel need a renovation soon. But almost everything was in good order. A rotten apple in the fruitbowl should have been taken away. Urgent need for a safetyhandle in the bathtub, since the floor is very low. Very wide bed, without plastic-cover on the mattress. Easy free parking. Old Town across the river, 10-15 minutes walk. A pity that reception closes 20.30. Recommend restaurant "Le Bruit en Cuisine". Photo from our window.
