A bit of history
Villebrumier was a prosperous bastide. Unfortunately, it was destroyed in 1622 during the Wars of Religion. The town has nevertheless managed to preserve its charm and many heritage elements that bear witness to its past.
What to see in Villebrumier?
- Villebrumier Castle : between Montauban and Toulouse, it has been completely renovated and is now decorated with a pretty park with a breathtaking view of the surrounding area.
- The church and its Toulouse-style brick bell tower are a characteristic element of local architecture.
- The Napoleon III washhouse : a vestige of the past which recalls the importance of water in the daily lives of the inhabitants.
- The metal suspension bridge : a construction that spans the Tarn and allows for beautiful walks on either side of the bank.
