The town's history and heritage are well represented at Mémoires Lacaunaises, a museum that came into being unexpectedly after a temporary exhibition of ancient objects. in 1989. After its success, decisions followed one after the other and the Mémoires Lacaunaises moved into a 16th century consular house , which today comprises 17 rooms to be visited. Headdresses from the past, a large stove in the kitchen near the scullery, a school classroom from 1880 or a bedroom with a canopy bed, the daily life of the people of Lacaune between 1700 and 1945 is reconstructed . One room is dedicated to " The Destiny of the Wild Child " while two others are devoted to the Assignation with a model apartment and a complete museography on the event.
