      Lisle-sur-Tarn, a unique bastide-port

Founded in the 13th century by Raymond VII, Count of Toulouse, Lisle-sur-Tarn is distinguished by its status as a bastide-port. Its strategic position on the banks of the Tarn made it an important commercial center for centuries.

      • The neoclassical style Gines Castle covers 1000m2.
      • The Raymond Lafage Museum tells the story of the famous 17th century engraver and designer.
      • The Chocolate Museum offers workshops where chocolate takes pride of place.

How can I tell you….. Two visits, received by two different people and two perfect welcomes; available, attentive and suitable tour proposals (guided tour canceled by the prefect due to red alert on Thursday, proposal to visit another village the next day without price change) In the event that a program on the best tourist office in France sees the light of day, we would vote without any problem for the one in Lisle-sur-Tarn as the staff is warm, welcoming, professional and smiling. Well done and thank you to the whole team

Interesting visit but too short, by a quality and invigorating guide. The restaurant indicated, downtown, was not great; just average. THANKS
