La loutre a repeuplé la partie nord de l’Aveyron et commence à se réinstaller un peu plus au sud. Avec beaucoup de patience et de chance (la loutre a une activité essentiellement nocturne), on peut l’observer, elle possède un corps allongé et fuselé de couleur brun foncé, orné parfois de petites tâches blanches sous la gorge.
